Vegetable and Smooth Foods Sunflower Seed Sauce Stir-fry

Ingredients

– 1 carrot, peeled and finely sliced

– 1 capsicum, sliced

– 1/2 medium finely chopped onion

– Handful of green beans, trimmed and halved

– 100g of Smooth Foods Sunflower Seed Sauce

– 1 Tbsp of olive oil

– 1 Tbsp of water

-1 Tbsp of vegetable stock


Preparation

– Heat oil in a large deep frying pan and work over medium-high heat.

-Stir in vegetables for

1 minute and add vegetable stock and water. 

– Let it cook for one minute more.

– Add the Smooth Foods Sunflower Seed Sauce and let it cook for a further 1 minute until vegetables are tender but still crisp.


Serves: 2

Salad bowl with Smooth Foods Sunflower Seed Sauce

Ingredients

– 100g of Smooth Foods Sunflower Seed Sauce – Handful of spinach – 100g of diced beetroot – 100g of diced cooked sweet potatoes

– 1/2 avocado – 100g of cooked quinoa – 50g of finely sliced red cabbage

Preparation

Combine all ingredients in a salad bowl, taste and adjust if needed. – Relish and enjoy!

Coleslaw Salad with Smooth Foods Peanut Sauce

 Ingredients

– 250g of red and white  cabbage, shredded

– 1 medium carrot, peeled and grated

-100g of Smooth Foods Peanut Sauce

-1 small brown onion, halved, thinly sliced

– 2 Tbsps of rice syrup

– 100g of vinegar

– 500g of water


Preparation

– In  a bowl, pour in water, vinegar and rice syrup. Add in shredded cabbage  and sliced onion.

– Let it sit for 5 minutes, then drain.

– Place cabbage, carrot, onion and Smooth Foods Peanut  Sauce in a large bowl.

– Toss to combine.

Rice stuffed tomato with Smooth Foods Peanut Sauce

Ingredients

-100g of Smooth Foods Peanut Sauce

– 1 cup of jasmine rice

– 4 ripe  firm large tomatoes

– 1 Tbsps of chopped flat leaf parsley

– 1/4 cup pitted green olives, halved

– 1/2–1 cup of water

– 1/2 tsp of salt


Preparation

– Bring a medium saucepan of water to a boil and add the rice and simmer until just cooked through and all the water has dried out.

– Place the rice in a bowl and set a side to cool slightly.

– Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C (350 F) and lightly coat a baking dish with olive oil.

– Cut the tops off the tomatoes and scoop out the insides.

– Place the hollowed out tomatoes into a baking dish.

– Combine the olives, Smooth Foods Peanut Sauce and parsley to the rice and mix well.

– Spoon the mixture into the hollowed tomatoes and replace the tomato tops and bake in the oven until the tomatoes are cooked, approximately 10 minutes but this will depend on the size of the tomatoes you are using.

Vegetables and Noodle Stir-fry with Smooth Foods Peanut Sauce

Ingredients

– 150g of Udon noddles

– 1 carrot, peeled and finely sliced

– 1 sliced capsicum

– 1/2 medium finely chopped  onion

– Handful of green beans, trimmed and halved

– 100g of Smooth Foods Sunflower Seed Sauce

– 1 Tbsp of olive oil

– 1 Tbsp  of water

– 1 Tbsp of vegetable stock


Preparation

– Cook noodles in a saucepan of boiling water for 8 minutes or until tender.

– Refresh under cold running water and drain.

– Heat oil in a large deep frying pan over a medium-high heat.

– Stir in vegetables for

1 minute and add noddles, vegetable stock and water.  – Let it cook for one minute. pours in Smooth Foods Sunflower Seed Sauce and let it cook for 1 minute until vegetables are tender but still crisp.

Smooth Foods Sunflower Seed Sauce Pie

Ingredients

– 150g of Smooth Foods Sunflower Seed Sauce

– 2 cups flour

– 1/2 tsp salt

– 1/2 cup

– 2 Tbsps vegan margarine

– 2 Tbsps vegetable oil

-3 Tbsps cold water


Preparation

– Combine the flour, sugar, and salt in a large bowl.

– In a separate bowl, whisk together the vegetable oil and water.

– Add the flour and stir the mixture, combining to just until dough forms. You may want to use your (clean) hands at this stage, in order to make sure all the flour gets incorporated well.

– Once the dough pulls together and there’s no extra flour, cover the dough with plastic wrap, then chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

– Heat oven to 80 degrees C (350 F) while the dough chills in the refrigerator.

– After 30 minutes, remove the dough from the refrigerator and roll out onto a lightly floured surface to about 1/4-inch thickness

– Now gently press the rolled dough into a pie tin, trimming any extra bits along the edges.

– Put in the oven for 5 minutes  for the crust to cook.

– Take the pie crust out and filled it the space with Smooth Foods Sunflower Seed Sauce, then gently put the pastry lid on top.

– Trim the pastry to a little beyond the rim of the dish, then press and crimp the edges together.

– Transfer the pie to an oven and bake for 10 minutes.

Vegetables and Smooth Foods Peanut Sauce wrap

Ingredients

-1 wholemeal wrap

-2 Tbsps of Smooth Foods Peanut Sauce

-2 slices cucumber sliced lengthwise

-2 leaves of romaine lettuce

– Sliced tomato depending on size of the tomatoes

-1/4 of an avocado sliced


Preparation

Spread peanut sauce on the bottom 1/3 of the wrap, about 1/2 inch from the bottom edge but spreading out the the side edges. Layer the cucumber, romaine lettuce , tomato slices and avocado slices. Fold the wrap tightly, as you would a burrito, tucking in all of the veggies with the first roll then rolling firmly to the end. Cut in half and enjoy

Vegetables and Bread Platter

Ingredients

– 100g Smooth Foods Peanut Sauce

– 1 bunch broccoli. Break the crown up into bite-sized florets

– 1/2 cauliflower. Break the crown up into bite-sized florets

– 1 naan or roti bread

–  Cucumber slices

– 2 handfuls of dry chips, fried potato chips and/or wedges

– 1 handful of cherry tomatoes


Preparation

– Steam the broccoli for 2 minutes.

– Wash all your veggies in cold water and pat dry with a dry paper tower. 

– Place the Smooth Foods Peanut Sauce in the center of a platter.

– Arrange the veggies around the Smooth Foods Peanut Sauce dip in a rainbow-like pattern.

– Serve immediately or cover with 2-3 layers of plastic wrap and store

Smooth Foods Sunflower Seed Sauce with Potato Salad and Quiche

Ingredients

– 5 potatoes peeled and cubed

– 100g spring onions thinly sliced

– 1/2 cup of Smooth Foods Sunflower Seed Sauce

Quiche ingredients…

– 150g of Smooth Foods Sunflower Seed Sauce

– 2 cups flour

– 1/2 tsp salt

– 1/2 cup plus 2 Tbsps vegan margarine

– 1/2 tsp salt

– 2 Tbsp vegetable oil

– 2 handfuls of spinach

– 8 cherry tomatoes


Preparation

Step1…

– Boil potatoes for roughly 10 minutes or until just cooked.

– Drain potatoes and place in refrigerator for 1 hour or in the freezer for 10 minutes.

– Once potatoes are cooled, mix Smooth Foods Sunflower Seed Sauce and spring onions.

Step 2…

– Combine the flour and salt in a large bowl.

– In a separate bowl, whisk together the vegetable oil and water. Add to the flour and salt mixture, combining just until dough forms. You may want to use your (clean) hands at this stage, in order to make sure all the flour gets incorporated well.

– Once the dough pulls together and there’s no extra flour, cover the dough with plastic wrap, then chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

– Heat oven to 180 degrees C (350 F) while the dough chills in the refrigerator.

– After 30 minutes, remove the dough from the refrigerator and roll out onto a lightly floured surface to about 1/4-inch thickness.

– Once your dough is rolled out, gently press it into a pie tin, trimming any extra bits along the edges.

– Put in the oven  for 5 minutes  for the crust to cook. Take the crusts out.

– Blanch the spinach in a saucepan of boiling water for 1 minute or until wilted.

– Drain and refresh in cold water, then squeeze dry and roughly chop.

Step 3…

– In a bowl, mix together the spinach and Smooth Foods Sunflower Seed Sauce. Season with salt and pepper.

-Enjoy.

Risotto with Smooth Foods Sunflower Seed sauce

Ingredients

– 1 cup of Arborio rice

-50g of finely cut onion

-5g of finely cut garlic

– 2 Tbsps of olive oil

– 1 cup of vegetable stock

-2 cups of hot water

-125g of Smooth Foods Sunflower Seed Sauce

– 2 handfuls of spinach

– 200g of sliced mushroom


Preparation

– Heat fry pan over high heat, add olive oil , onion and garlic and fry until golden.

-Add mushrooms sliced and fry for few mins then add 1 cup of Arborio rice stir until each grain of rice is coated in oil then slowly add 1 of cup of vegetable stock  and water one cup at a time until it is completely absorbed.

-Add last cup of hot water and simmer till fluid  is half way absorbed, then add spinach and sunflowers sauce. Allow it to cook until  it’s creamy.


Serve: 2

Smooth Foods Sunflower Seed Sauce with Sourdough Bread

Ingredients

-1 slice of  Sourdough bread

– Handful of spinach

– 50g of Smooth Foods Peanut Sauce

–  1 tsp of olive oil


Preparation

– Place olive oil in a sauce pan, add spinach And cook until spinach fully reduced

– Toast your bread, add Smooth Foods Peanut sauce on top and spinach on top.

Smooth Foods Sunflower Seeds Sauce in Tacos

Ingredients

 -2 chopped tomatoes into cubs

– 1/2 tsp of rice syrup

-1 cubed  Lebanese cucumber

-1 spring onion, thinly slices

– Handfuls of canned diced beetroot

– Handful of canned black beans.

– 4 Tacos

– 100 g Smooth Foods Peanut Sauce

– Lemon juice


Preparation

– Mix together the  tomatoes, black beans, beetroot, cucumber, rice syrup and lemon juice.

– Serve in any tacos of your choice and top with

Smooth Foods Peanut Sauce

Chickpeas and Smooth Foods peanut sauce salad

Ingredients

-100g of Smooth Foods Peanut Sauce

-1 cup of dry chickpea

– Water

– 2 handfuls of spinach

– 100g of cherry tomatoes

– 100g of almond milk

-1/2 red onion

– 1 Tbsp of olive oil


Preparation

– Soak the chickpeas in water overnight or for at least 8 hours. – Cover the beans with about 2 inches of water.

– Before cooking the chickpeas, drain the water and rinse the beans.

– Transfer the soaked chickpeas to a saucepan and over with 2 inches of water.

– Add salt and bring the water to boil, then reduce the heat slightly and simmer for 20 to 25 minutes for firmer beans, 40 to 50 minutes for softer beans.

– Put the oil and onions into a large pan and cook on a low-medium heat until the onions start to soften and turn clear—about 5 minutes.

– Add chickpeas, Smooth Foods Peanut Sauce,  spinach and milk. – Stir for 2 minutes until  mixed together.

– Serve  with rice or bread.

Vegetables and Smooth Foods Sunflower Seed Sauce pizza

Ingredients

Pizza base…

– 2 cups plain flour

– 8g dry yeast

– 1 tsp caster sugar

– 1/2 tsp salt

– 2 Tbsps olive oil

– 3/4 cup lukewarm water

Topping…

-150g of Smooth Foods Sunflower Seed Sauce

– 250g of mushroon, sliced

– 1/2 capsicum, sliced

– 82g of pineapple sliced

– 1/2 cup of olives


Preparation

– Combine dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl and add oil and water.

– Mix to a soft dough.

– Knead on a floured surface until soft and pliable.

– Return to the mixing bowl and cover with cling wrap and leave in a warm spot for 30 minutes. The dough should double in size.

Once it has risen, ‘punch’ the dough a few times to remove any air bubbles.

– Remove from the bowl and knead gently for 1 minute.

– Roll the dough out to desired.

– Spread Smooth Foods Sunflower Seed Sauce onto the pizza dough.

– Add  mushrooms, pineapple, capsicum and olives.

– Bake in oven for 10 minutes (230 C) or until dough has cooked through.
